さあ、ダルに向け出発

ムトワラは海がきれいな町だった

もうすぐ日本へ帰るので、タンザニアシリングをＵＳドルに両替したりしなきゃならない

ひさびさに日本のお札を見てみたら・・

日本のお金ってすごくデカい！　さわり心地もすべすべしていて、

お金じゃないみたい(笑)

他の国のお金と比べると一目瞭然

・・・・あ、やっぱりコレ気になりましたか？

500億ドル(ジンバブエ)紙幣

ザンビアの国境沿いで売られていたので買った
激しいインフレでお金がほとんど価値を失ってしまったときのものである

本当は、1兆ドル(ジンバブエ)紙幣が欲しかったんだけれど、まぁこれで十分ネタになるかな

今日が最後の夜

同じ任地の隊員が、（明日から一週間仕事なのに）集まってくれて、一緒にご飯

ほんとに、人に恵まれた2年間だったなと思う

隊員も、同僚も、出会った友達も、生徒も・・・

同僚がお別れパーティを開いてくれた

同僚達からお土産にもらった、マサイの布とマコンデの小物入れ

英語勉強会の人達(ＪＩＣＡ ＫＯＩＣＡ NGO)もお別れ会をしてくれた

毎日のように通ってたご飯屋さんの店員も、

「またタンザニアに戻ってこいよ、わかった？」って言ってくれた

ここに来られてよかった！(*^^)

日本でもまた素敵な出会いがあるだろうな

 途中で泣く生徒(ありがたいけど、なぜ因数分解の途中で？笑)

最後、いた生徒と写真を撮った

授業のスタイルがかたまらなくて、うまくいかない時期もあったけれど
生徒がめちゃくちゃ元気で、それに救われていた2年間だったと思う

ほとんど毎日食べに行っている所


店員も顔見知りだから、勝手に同じテーブルに座ってきてご飯を食べ始める


今日、ふと気になって聞いてみた


「ここで働くと、一日でいくらくらいもらえるの？」


「3000シリング～5000シリング」


これには驚いた。なぜならその時オレが食べていた昼ごはんが6000シリング(350円程度)だったからだ


そんなに安いのか・・・


ときどき「ソーダ(1000シリング)を買ってくれ」と店員から言われることがあって、「働いてるんだから自分で買え」とか言う時もあったんだけれども・・・・買うわけないよな


ムトワラを出発する直前、一回くらいソーダをあげようかな

Mtwara Villa Park

The place where I go to eat almost every day.

A salesclerk knows me very well, so he sit down at the same table and begin to eat without permission.

Today, I asked him.

"How much can you earn in a day?"

"From 3000 shillings to 5000 shillings."

I was so surprised at this, because the lunch I ate was 6000 shillings (350 yen).


I didn't know it's so cheep.


Sometimes salesclerks asked me "Please buy a soda for me!"', and I've said "Buy it yourself, because you work."
But now I think they can't buy it.

Just before leaving Mtwara, I shall buy sodas for them.

学校対抗の試合を見に行った。

女子はネットボール

応援に行く生徒達。私服だと新鮮

Students went to cheer them. Plain clothes are rare.

ネットボールは7人対7人のゲームで、バスケットから派生してイギリスではじまったスポーツらしい

Ｎｅｔｂａｌｌ is a ball sport played by two teams of seven players. 

Its development, derived from early versions of basketball, began in England in the 1890s.

嫁(wife)

「日本に帰る時、彼女(近くにいる女の人)を嫁として連れて行けよ！」
最近、よく言われるフレーズである

「無理だよ、日本は忙しすぎて耐えられないと思う。朝から晩まで働けないでしょう？」と返す

そう、日本の社会生活や中高生の生活の話をすると、その忙しさにこちらの人はすごく驚く

例えば中高生の場合だったら、8時過ぎに学校に行って、午後4時に授業が終わって、それから7時まで部活動をする。そして塾へ行って10時まで勉強をする。・・・さらに、朝練をする生徒もいる！

この話を聞いて、しかめ面の同僚の第一声は「いつ家族と話をするの？」

まったくそのとおり。家族内のコミュニケーション不足は日本の大きな問題である

また、日本では隣人の事も知らない人が多いという事も驚かれる


最近は、同僚から「今日お前の家にご飯を食べに行っていい？」と聞かれるのだが(笑)、日本に帰ればそんなこともなくなるんだろうな

"When you return to Japan, you should take her with you as your wife!"

This is a phrase that my colleges said to me recently, referring to the woman nearby.

I replied "No way. Japanese life is too busy for her to endure. Do you think you can work from morning to evening?"

When I talk about life in Japanese society, like secondary students' life, my colleagues are surprised at how busy they are.

For example, in a secondary students' case, they go to school at about 8, and all classes are finished at about 4 p.m., then they do club activities until about 7 p.m. After that, they might go to a tutoring school and study until about 10 p.m........In addition, some students practice in the early morning!

The first thing my colleague said with a grimace was "When do they talk with their family?".

He's right. The lack of the communication in families is a big problem for Japan.

They were also surprised that there are many people who don't know their neighbors in Japan.


Recently, my colleague asked me "May I come to your house to eat today?" lol.
I think after returning to Japan, I won't be asked that again.
